The Richards family credits Southwire’s success to its owners and employees’ hard work, social responsibility, and innovation. In 1937, Roy Richards founded a company to build power poles. In 1950, he founded Southwire with three used machines and 12 employees. Now, 70 years later, Southwire continues its dedication for quality and service, with more than 7,000 employees around the world.
